first day of and last first day of high school . . .

Today the girls ran up the hill to meet their friends. . .Madeline for her last year, and Belle for her first year of high school. When I was writing their notes for the first days of school, all I could think is “they are ready. . .” I am not sure how we got here, but I marvel every day at the fierce and intentional determination and grace with which they approach their days.

We know we are moving into the busyness of the year after a beautiful summer of amazing memories, and we are determined to soak in these last days with both of our girls under our roof –
