Discovering Magic

Discovering Magic

In the midst of a too-busy day

in a too-busy week. . .

the rain fell,

fell,

fell,

fell,

silver drops adorned the world

every flower wore a necklace

broke my hypnosis, I noticed,

postponed tyrannical urgency,

lingered outside,

five minutes, ten, twenty,

an eternity

in the cold, misty morning,

discovering magic —

worlds inside worlds inside worlds, beckoning,

“Here, discover me.”
