Christmas 2014
Christmas in Africa – it is hard being away from family and friends especially this time of year. But there were parts of Christmas in Kijabe that were simply amazing – the community coming together for advent celebrations every night this month, caroling at the hospital, the simple joys of creating salt-dough-ornaments to give as gifts, scented candles and sugar cookies, Annabelle reading the Christmas story on her own for the first time, the wise men in our Nativity set wandering around the house on their journey to Bethlehem. Christmas cards are still coming in from across the sea, and packages from church and friends arrived. We love and miss everyone at home, but it really has been a merry Christmas.
