Safari with family. . .
32 years ago, I was a flower girl in my Uncle John and Aunt Denise’s wedding. In our life and marriage and our journey to Kenya, they have been constant prayer warriors, bearers of advice, and cherished mentors.
This year, on our 15th wedding anniversary, they came to see us in Kenya. Beth (their daughter, who was one of our flower girls), spent the month with us painting portraits for the the hospital, and they joined her at the end of the month to see the work at the hospital, our life, and take us all on an epic safari. We got incredibly close to some of the most elegant and beautiful creatures that I have ever seen as we bounced in safari vehicles for 3 days in the Maasai Mara (with a small detour to the Serengeti).
